Civil Engineering Services Nigeria — Earthworks, Drainage, Roads and Site Infrastructure
From site preparation and drainage to access road construction and hardstanding — Karoch Engineering delivers civil engineering for industrial, commercial, and institutional projects across Nigeria, with particular strength in Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos, and the Lekki Free Trade Zone corridor.
Civil Engineering for Nigeria’s Toughest Industrial Sites
Civil engineering is the foundation every other discipline is built on. Without competent earthworks, drainage, and access infrastructure, every subsequent project phase is compromised. Karoch Engineering’s civil team has delivered site preparation and civil infrastructure for oil and gas facilities, manufacturing plants, institutional campuses, and residential estates across Nigeria.
What We Deliver
▸ Site preparation and land clearing — earthworks, vegetation clearance, top soil stripping
▸ Substructure drainage systems — surface water drainage, perimeter drainage, soakaway design and installation
▸ Access road construction — base course, sub-base, and wearing course for industrial and commercial sites
▸ Hardstanding and apron construction — reinforced concrete and asphalt hardstanding for heavy vehicle and equipment use
▸ Culverts and storm drainage structures — precast and in-situ concrete drainage structures
▸ Tank base construction — reinforced concrete base pads for FRP/GRP and steel tank installations
▸ Site levelling and earthfill — cut-and-fill operations for platform construction
▸ External works — kerbing, paving, fencing, and site boundary works.
Why Our Civil Work Holds Up — In the Lagos Rainy Season and Beyond
Civil engineering in Southern Nigeria has to be designed and built for conditions that overwhelm under-specified work: 2,000mm+ annual rainfall, saturated clay subgrades, and heavy industrial vehicle loading. Karoch Engineering designs civil works for these conditions — not for a European specification manual. Our drainage systems carry the volumes Lagos produces. Our hardstanding is designed for the loads that actual Nigerian industrial sites impose.
FAQ
Common Questions
Q: What is the lead time for a civil engineering mobilisation in Lagos?
A: For projects within Lagos State and the Ibeju-Lekki corridor, we can typically mobilise within 1–2 weeks of contract award. Contact us with your project start date requirement early in the procurement process.
Q: Do you work on greenfield industrial sites or only existing developed land?
A: Both. Karoch Engineering has delivered greenfield site development — clearing, grading, and full civil infrastructure installation — as well as civil works on operating industrial sites.
Q: Can you provide both civil and FRP tank installation on the same project?
A: Yes — this combination is one of our most common project types. We prepare the tank base, install the civil drainage infrastructure, and supply and install the GRP or Braithwaite tank as a single-contract delivery.
